Lewis Cohen read Classics at Cambridge before studying Law as a graduate.
He trained at Glovers Solicitors in Mayfair, qualifying in 1995 into the construction department. 18 months later he joined Nabarro Nathanson and then moved to Speechly Bircham in 2000 where he was made a partner in 2004.
Lewis joined Blake-Turner LLP in 2009 as a consultant and became a Partner in 2013.
Lewis is primarily a commercial litigator with a particular focus on construction and has a very strong knowledge of addressing construction issues within the insolvency industry.
He is familiar with all forms of dispute resolution, including mediation, and has advised on cases in the Middle East and the Far East where he has also conducted arbitration.
In 2016 Lewis successfully studied for and obtained a Diploma in Adjudication from the RICS to add to the MSc in Construction, Law and Arbitration which he obtained from Kings College, London in 1998.
In addition to representing developers, contractors, engineers and private clients, Lewis also represents a number of insolvency practitioners.
